| I
am very interested in having Bay Club cater my event. What is the
next step?
Fill out our online form or download the client profile in WORD,
fill it out and send or fax it to us. Then, you need to pick out
a menu (we can help!). Once your menu is chosen, we will provide
you with a cost estimate. You may also call us or email us with
your questions

How can I make
sure that no one else books my date?
First you need to choose a menu. Then we can draw up a cost estimate
for you. Then, you need to sign a catering contract and give us
a $1000.00 deposit. Then, the date is yours!

What do your
employees wear the day of the event?
Our chefs/cooks wear black pants, chef jackets, and black shoes.
Our servers and bartenders wear black slacks, white button-down
dress shirts, black shoes, and black aprons. If your event is a
more casual one, say a beach wedding or BBQ, then perhaps more casual
attire would be appropriate, and our staff would wear Khaki Shorts
and pressed Bay Club T’s. Our staff is always dressed professionally.
What makes Bay
Club different than other catering companies?
We use the highest-quality products available. We often order items
from various farmers and purveyors to assure superior quality. We
use only the best purveyors of all products, from meat, to seafood,
to produce. We cook nearly everything on-site. We bring portable
burners and grills to cook all the meat and seafood at the event,
to ensure that the food being served is at its best.

There are no
menu prices on your web site. How much does an average dinner cost
per person?
We cost out each menu for you based on several factors, including
the amount of labor, the number of people, the food cost, etc. We
can offer a lower per person price if there are more people. For
example, for the same exact menu the per person price would be lower
for 100 people, than it would be for 40. Most of our menus range
from $40-$125/person. Some specialty custom menus may be higher.
Remember, this price is for menu costs only. We do require a menu
cost minimum of $2,800.00.
There are separate fees for labor, rentals, bar service etc...These
costs will be reflected in your initial proposal. Delivery menu
pricing is reflected in our drop-off menus.

Do you offer
wedding cakes?
No. We like to concentrate on the food! We do, however, offer some
wonderful plated desserts. And we are happy to give you a referral
for your wedding cake. We are happy to refer you to one of our recommended
vendors, Just
Desserts.

Do you provide
linen, tables, chairs, tents?
Yes, we are able to help you with these needs as well. They are
not included in our per person price. We will quote you prices on
these items that are a direct price from a rental company. Please
visit www.DistinctiveEventRentals.com
for some images and pricing guidelines of one of our recommended
vendors.

My event is outdoors.
I really want to have my event in the open air. Do I really need
a tent?
No, however, on the Outer Banks, the weather can change on any given
day. It can rain in the summer, winter, spring or fall. And even
if it is only a passing shower, it will ruin your event by soaking
your tables, linens and centerpieces. The same holds true for the
sun. You really want to protect the food and your guests from the
elements. Having a tent is like having an insurance policy for your
event. We strongly recommend a tent or cabana for any outdoor event.

I don’t
have a wedding coordinator and am unsure of the timing of my event.
Can you help?
We would be happy to assist you in making a timeline to ensure that
your event runs smoothly, however if you need extended help, please
ask us and we are happy to provide wedding coordinator service for
you.

Will the per
person cost change if my head count drops by a lot?
Yes. If your cost estimate was based on a certain number of people,
and that number changes drastically, the per person amount will
be higher to cover labor costs.

I signed a
contract and already gave a deposit. Can I still change my menu?
Yes, provided you make any changes at least 3 weeks before your
event. Even if you sign a contract and give us a deposit, you are
not locked into the menu you chose. We are happy to make changes
along the way, as long as they reflect the contracted budget.

Can I bring
my own alcohol?
Yes. Bay Club Catering does not have a liquor license, so we cannot
buy the alcohol for you. We charge for the bar set-up and preparation,
but you can save money by bringing your own beverages.

I don’t
know how much alcohol to buy. Can you help?
Yes. We would be happy to make recommendations on alcohol amounts.

Is it legal
for Bay Club Catering to serve the alcohol if they don’t have
a liquor license?
Yes. We can serve it for you. We just can’t buy it for you
or sell it to you. We carry liability insurance in the event of
the unexpected.
Who should
I provide vendor meals for?
That is totally up to your discretion. We offer vendor meals at
a lower price than your per person amount. Typically, you might
want to provide dinner for the wedding coordinator, photographer,
DJ, band members, or other vendors working at your event. Many people
like to provide dinner for those that will be there for a long amount
of time, and won’t be able to eat dinner otherwise.

I will have
children at my event. What options do I have for them?
We suggest ordering pizza for them! We are happy to do this for
you. We will pick it up, keep it warm, and serve it for you. This
makes most kids the happiest! If you don’t like this option,
we can discuss other children’s menu items.
